Board of Directors

President: Serah Olajumoke Balogun James is the founder and President of the foundation. She was born in Lagos Nigerian to Nigerian Parents. She came to the Netherlands in 1998 and has since then resided in the country.

SOBJ als she is generally called is an Alumnus of the prestigious University of Social Sciences in Rotterdam, where she graduated Cum laude and obtained a combined degree in Management, Economics and Law. She is a civil servant to the core, she has worked in different municipality government in the Netherlands. Fulfilling functions as operational personnel, Teamleader and expert in law enforcement. And is currently a freelance youth and education law enforcement consultant. She is the chief consultant at SOBJ jeugd & onderwijs consultancy, a consultancy bureau she started in 2018.

But in all of these, giving back to the community has been her number one wish, especially since it became obvious that the Dutch society was missing the knowledge of the beautiful culture and traditions of Africa. And the Africans residing in the Netherlands were yearning for a platform to showcase all the beautiful things they had to offer the Dutch society.

And this brought about the birth of Cultuur Jam Foundations in May 2014.
